LYDIARD HOUSE HOTEL

We were appointed to carry out the full scope of electrical works as part of the sensitive renovation and upgrade of a prestigious Grade I listed hotel in Wiltshire. Working closely with the main contractor, our team delivered a comprehensive and carefully managed installation across key areas of the building, including dining rooms, bar areas, bedrooms, and communal spaces.

Given the listed status of the property, particular care was taken to plan and execute the works in a manner that preserved the historic fabric and architectural detail of the hotel. All routes for new cabling were agreed in advance with the main contractor and conservation officers where required. In areas where surface containment was necessary, we selected finishes and profiles that were both sympathetic to the interiors and compliant with heritage guidelines.

The electrical installation included new power and lighting circuits throughout, designed to suit the specific function and ambience of each area. In the dining and bar spaces, lighting schemes were implemented to complement the interior design, with provision for dimming and scene control where required. In the bedrooms, power outlets, lighting, and data points were discreetly installed to ensure modern functionality without compromising on aesthetics.

Communal areas such as corridors and lounges were also upgraded, with emergency lighting and fire detection systems integrated seamlessly into the existing structure. All works were coordinated with other trades to minimise disruption and maintain programme timelines.
